The town report
A town report sets out, for one town, the practices that fit your criteria, who owns them, the population and its health demand, the local economy and premises, and whether the town can recruit GPs. Proxeno prepares it from the GP Zoo dataset and the town's public record.
How we work up a town
We work from our GP Zoo dataset, 3,998 independent practices and 487 group operators mapped site by site, and lay the town’s public record over it: population and growth from the ABS, disease rates against national benchmarks from the Social Health Atlas, bulk billing from the Medicare statistics, the workforce classification, health services capability, council strategy and live premises listings.
On the day the report is generated we verify the practice count against the public record, practice websites, ABN Lookup, healthdirect and the booking platforms, so the count is current when it reaches you.
