The town report
Before you buy in a town, you want to know what you are walking into: which practices would be suitable for you, who owns them, how well the town is tracking economically, what services are being provided, can you recruit good GPs. Proxeno provides local guidance via our town reports publishing engine.
How we work up a town
We have a standardised report that covers off the key elements you’ll likely need to make an informed decision about investing in the town or region.
We work from our GP Zoo dataset, 6,393 practices and 337 group operators mapped site by site, and lay the town’s public record over it: population and growth from the ABS, disease rates against national benchmarks from the Social Health Atlas, bulk billing from the Medicare statistics, the workforce classification, health services capability, council strategy and live premises listings.
On the day the report is generated we verify the practice count against the public record, practice websites, ABN Lookup, healthdirect and the booking platforms, so the count is current when it reaches you.
What it covers
Eleven sections, the same for every town: the acquisition case, buyer markers, population and growth, health demand, the GP market, workforce classification and incentives, health infrastructure, economy and premises, value levers, risks and constraints, and the record behind the report.
