Buying a general practice

Proxeno matches practice owners who are selling with the groups and operators who buy.

We keep a national list of who owns Australian general practice: 6,393 practices and 340 group operators, mapped site by site.

Tell us what you buy

It is free, and it does not sign you up to anything.

The regions or postcodes you buy in, the practice size you want, the ownership structures you will consider, your timing and how you operate. Update it whenever it changes.

When an owner we act for sets their priorities and yours line up, you appear on the shortlist we give them, with the reasoning shown. Whether they contact you is their decision alone. If your criteria are not recorded, you are not in that comparison.

Record your criteria

How we collect and handle personal information is set out in our collection notice.

The form is not wired to the CRM yet. Email us instead at the address in the footer.

Finding practices that fit

Most of the practices worth buying are not for sale on the day you look for them. Waiting for a listing means competing for whatever is on the market rather than choosing what fits the areas you already operate in.

The report draws on our ownership data and applies the criteria you set: which practices match, who owns them, where they sit relative to what you already run, their size and structure, and the data behind each one. Where you are filling gaps around practices you already own, it is built around those gaps rather than a radius on a map.

How much work each report takes varies, so we quote it before we start.

Taking your list to the owners

If you do not run an acquisitions team, we can take your list to the owners for you: we make the first contact, we ask whether the owner is open to selling, and we bring you their answer.

Some will say no. Some will say not yet. Where an owner is interested, you take it from there and run your own due diligence and valuation, as you would on any acquisition.

Which side we are on

We act for one side of any deal and we say which. Most of our work is for owners selling.
